If I had it I would put it a HUGE oak tree and turn it into an awesome "tree plane". It would be a Doobie/Sports center complete wet bar, fridge, grill, surround sound, wide screen, Doobie stuff hanging on the walls. Women would be welcome. During halftime Doob tunes would abound. (Van Halen and Zeppelin, too) Donations accepted to help those worthy causes Gina mentioned.
On a more practical concept maybe some aviation archive entity could help find a home for it. Someone out there must have an idea of who to contact. I do not know anyone in that industry to ask. Do ya'll?

Oh my gosh, I can't resist. Forgive me those of you who can't stand these
silly posts. Press delete and move on to the more serious stuff.
Some one has just got to buy that plane. Doobie History must be preserved.
I wish it could be me. As I travel down the yellow brick road of life, I
ask myself, "what would you do if you had a plane?"
Well,
I could while away the hours, conferring with the King Biscuit Flower hour,
consulting with Bill Payne.
I would dance I'd be merry, life would be a bowl of cherries,
If I only had that plane...
Seriously, I would put a window unit in it, curtains, a bed with tie dye
sheets, a small refrigerator and all my Doobie memorabilia and a CD player
and a lava lamp. Turn it into a bed and breakfast. $200/night. (free for
Doobie club members passing through Houston and of course for our
president.) My front yard is big enough to move it there but I would have
to contend with deed restrictions, I'm sure. All proceeds would go to NVF
and the Lucille Salter Packard Children's Hospital. The rest of the time, I
would just enjoy it myself. I'd have freaked if I had it when I was 14
years old! Would have had all our fan club meetings in there and be the
envy of the neighborhood...(giggle.)
Now, what would YOU do if you only had a plane?
