Right on Dexter !! Very well said. Another aspect of this is that most of the
Doobie's music is not the standard 1, 4, 5 chord progression songs. I feel that
Doobie music is thinking music. It's not simple. There's a lot going on in most of
their songs that makes the music very interesting. As far as critics go, well after
someone has sold over 50 million records, it doesn't really matter what some critic
says. Besides, who are they any ways ?? I wish I had a job where I was wrong most of
the time and still got paid !! Don't we all ?? So there you have it, my spin on it
all. If your a Doobie fan, well then in my opinion, your more musically intelligent
then the average music listener, and a thousand times more intelligent than a music
critic !! Sure, let it go to your head!! You deserve it !!
