I'll be honest with you, mind you this is just an opinion. I have all of Michaels solo CD's & none of them do I pop in & listen to on a regular basis. Michael has a tremendous voice, but relies too much on synthesized instruments for my taste. The best thing that I have heard Michael do away from the Doobies is a live show called "The New York Rock and Soul Review", which might be hard to find, but well worth the effort if you can locate a copy. I treasure mine & listen to it on a regular basis.
