There can be corner-cases, e.g. people with some screen configurations, e.g. people who need some compiz-accessibility-plugins, ... I note, interestingly:- *apparently* Linux Mint, has its' own gnome-2-spinoff, included in upcoming 12.04... (not seen it, etc.) Lubuntu has a nice lightweight environment and now works well in 11.10. May both be worth trying, if unity for-whatever-reason doesn't work, in my opinion... Just my opinion =). --Simon -- Next meeting: Bournemouth, Tuesday 2011-12-06 20:00 Meets, Mailing list, IRC, LinkedIn, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ New thread on mailing list: mailto:dorset@mailman.lug.org.uk How to Report Bugs Effectively: http://goo.gl/4Xue
