Does anyone have experience of streaming audio/video over LAN? I am
contemplating a project for a video intercom system because my
office/computer set-up is remote from the house. I'm planning to use a
wireless/wired door unit from China and use Firefox/HTML5 to view the
streamed video. I'm prepared to use a Raspberry Pi if that would be
useful, and I've been reading up on the various Java facilities, eg
WebRTC, though I would prefer to use Python 3, having no experience at
all in writing Java.
Initially, I would be interested in talking through the design
principles relating to hardware and software.
