I'd try that first with a bootable image, then you'd gain experience of how it should be configured, and whether the input method is suitable for your ‘clients’. Ubuntu (Canonical) seems to be stretched too thin. Perhaps try https://spins.fedoraproject.org/kde/ for a change.
