Diversity tends to be healthy for any eco-system, so personally I think we probably should care. When I’ve worked with female programmers, they tend to be better in some ways than their male counterparts, though that’s entirely a subjective observation. Maybe Python will get too mono-cultured and go to pot. Would diversity help prevent that?
