Yes, a gift link's good for about a month as I understand it. I've been enjoying the subscription. I hung on until they offered £25 for the year, or 10p/weekday. They've some quality writers — I enjoy Liam Halligan on the financial mess of the nation — and they've had a run of significant exclusives recently, e.g. Angela Rayner's stamp-duty saving. China keeps trying to buy the paper, presumably it's not happy with its output. The most recent scoop has been the internal critical report of the BBC by former journalist Michael Prescott, independent adviser to the BBC's Editorial Guidelines and Standards Board.
