I recently had a problem that every time I opened google maps in my browser the computer locked up. I am on Kubuntu 25.04 and the browser is Vivaldi.
In the end I decided to uninstall and reinstall Vivaldi. I used Synaptic to uninstall Vivaldi, but it was still there and opened. After some searching I saw a hint about snap, so sudo snap uninstall vivaldi and it took awhile but got rid of it. It did some sort of backup that I have to find and remove now. Then I used Synaptic to reinstall Vivaldi and now the problem has disappeared. It looks like somehow I added a snap version of the program and they interfered with each other. Is it possible that it updated via snap?
