Perhaps unsurprisingly, EE Support is pretty rubbish.  I have to allow them to test my broadband connection before they will talk to me.  Most other companies have an 'Anything Else' option in the Voicemail.

Just to make life difficult for themselves, it's all done by text and they don't ask for an Account Number, so they first have to match it up (presumably using my mobile number).

Needless to say, there is nothing wrong with my broadband (900 Mbps the last time I checked).
