This is driving me crazy! How do I get Kate to display line numbers.
Gedit and Thonny do it but do not provide a split view. Searching for
Help online produces this page https://kate.en.lo4d.com/windows that
says that the line numbers are always displayed. However that is a
Windows centric page and is referring to a later version than the one in
Kubuntu 25.10. Unfortunately the Kate Help silently exits every time I
open it.
