We are still working on the exam fee in Indonesia. IPOMS members who pays annual IPOMS membership fee (Rp 150 thousands) will receive a discount. Please visit http://www.pqm-iris.co.id/pqm/contact.htm Most of the following details are from the International Quality Federation (IQF) Study Guide CD from Quality America Inc (QAI) and IQF website: http://www.iqfnet.org/IQF/Default.htm Exam Format The exam consists of 2 sections; a Fundamentals section and an Applications section. The examinee is given 4 hours to complete each section of the exam for a total of 8 hours. The Fundamentals section is design to test the examinee�s understanding of basic statistical methods. The questions can be answered between 2 � 10 minutes if the examinee understands the principles of the question. The Fundamentals section consists of the following types of questions. Question Type Six Sigma Process Discrete Distributions Continuous Distributions Statistical Inference Measurement Assurance SPC Process Capability Regression One-Way ANOVA Multi-Factor ANOVA Only few questions are multiple choice questions. Most questions short problems requiring Microsoft Excel Data/Statistical Analysis and Minitab 14. The Applications section of the exam is designed to test the examinee�s business methods and problem solving capability. The problems in the Applications section are more involved and may take up to an hour to complete. Because the questions in the Applications section vary in the level of difficulty, the questions are weighted when the exam in scored. The Applications section consists of the following types of questions. Question Type Basic Experimental Design Process Target Optimization Process Variance Optimization * Project Value Project Management *At this time the exam does not contain any Process Variance Optimization problems. When you want to take the six sigma exam, you do NOT need to tell IQF or PQM (exam administrator) that you would like to take green, black, or master black belt exam. You will get the same set of randomly generated questions regardless of your intention. HOWEVER, the following scores are required to meet the exam requirements for certification: Certification Type Required Fundamentals Section Score Required Applications Section Score Green Belt 50% 0% Black Belt 60% 50% Master Black Belt 75% 75% MUST READ: 1. GREEN BELT: Green belt certification does not need to complete any six sigma projects. 2. BLACK BELT: Black belt certification (exam only) does not need to complete any six sigma projects. HOWEVER, black belt (full certification) requires the completion of AT LEAST 2 six sigma projects. If you would like to have a black belt (full certification), your sponsoring organization (e.g., your company) must complete a 12 page document available on: http://www.iqfnet.org/IQF/ Clik IQF Certified Black Belt and then click Certification Process Sorry. Using the document, the sponsoring organization must be willing to certify your successful six sigma projects including � Ability to achieve significant, tangible results by applying the six sigma approach � Ability to lead organizational change as demonstrated by the candidate�s leadership, teamwork, project management, and communication skills. Sponsoring Organizations need not be the candidate�s employer. Accredited colleges or universities may serve as a candidate�s sponsor. However, the candidate must complete at least two successful major projects applying the six sigma approach to significant production or service processes. Co-certification Candidates who pass the IQF exam and meet IQF effectiveness requirements will be co-certified by the IQF and the Sponsoring Organization as an IQF Six Sigma Black Belt. 3. MASTER BLACK BELT: In addition to the projects required for Black Belt certification, Master Black Belt certification requires proof of teaching & mentoring experience.
