Position : Project Manager Location: Houston Length: 1.25.2011 Rate: submit competitive DRT67 - Job Description: Plan and initiate a Release strengthening programme that will include: * Reviewing the current processes and process enhancements that have been suggested in light of best practice and experience in other companies. * Develop a detailed plan for the process improvements, requirements for tool adjustments in the change management system (ClearQuest) , training and changes to ways of working required for release management. * Communicate with stakeholders to understand current issues and to ensure consistent packaging of releases. * Work with the communications lead to develop information packs to application developers, application leads, service deliver managers, and IT Leadership. * Develop and champion the new release management processes, ensure the business and IT understand the benefits and change/release schedule, and coordinate communication of all changes to stakeholders * Implement a global standard release management process. Skills: - ITIL experience in particular with change and release management processesand relevant enabling tools, - have implemented and managed large scale change across IT boundaries and geographies. - proven ability to work collaboratively and influence and persuade others in a cross-functional, multi-application, multi-service providers environment. - broad knowledge of application support processes and the overall application landscape - functional understanding of other support processes such as service level and incident and problem management. General The provision of advice, assistance and leadership in any area associated with the procurement, provision, delivery, maintenance or effective use of information systems and their environments. The type of consultancy can deal with one specific aspect of IS, or it can be wide ranging and address many aspects or it can be of a strategic nature.
