POSITION PURPOSE:
A Technical Specialist 2 needs to be effective and efficient in consulting
the customer on specifically defined topics relating to the HP
Hardware, Microsoft
Software and infrastructure in a large company environment. He / She applies
standard methods to identify alternative solutions. Interfaces with Business
Customers, Technical Project Engineers, Rapid Deployment Team, WIPRO HO2
Remediation Factory

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
He / She applies standard methods to identify alternative solutions as
needed.
A TS 2 needs to be able to grasp complex issues. Analyze in a goal-oriented
manner. Find alternative solution routes. Knows and uses problem solving
techniques. Recognizes risks and communicates them in a timely manner
? EURO ? Structures topics and handles them efficiently in terms of timing and
with a focus on goals and results, together with the group.
? EURO ? Works with the Security Administration area to implement user access to
systems and assure proper security and access is maintained
? EURO ? Acts according to the prescribed objectives and tasks and within a
prescribed time period. Keeps the cost and resource aspects of his/her area
of activity in mind.
? EURO ? Verify and update the documentation for WINDOWS team
? EURO ? Uphold and comply with all corporate policies and procedures
Activities
? EURO ? Facilitates the application installation and ensures it happens in-line
with the GI-H standards (Server) and follows Security Model 50%
? EURO ? Is the first point of contact for issues / escalation from co-workers
and customers 20%
? EURO ? Interacts with local PIMA ( Third Party supplier) personal 5%
? EURO ? Provide regular feedback to PM and escalate when necessary.
? EURO ? Identify potential issues and brings them to the attention of the PM or
appropriate Team Member 5%
? EURO ? Owns the request from being assigned to completion 5%
? EURO ? Receives server(s) from Rapid Deployment Team (post HO1) 2%
? EURO ? Ensures Configuration Doc is created, Asset Centre & Primus (Reporting
Tools) is updated 2%
? EURO ? Facilitates Run & Maintain Support if required 2%
? EURO ? Performs other related duties as assigned 2%

? EURO ? Must be proficient in VMware technologies including ESX and Virtual

? EURO ? Needs extensive knowledge of Windows Server and Landscape.
? EURO ? Willing to learn the requirements and technical objectives of the
project.
? EURO ? Keeps profitability and value creation in mind.
? EURO ? Helps develop effective customer strategy.
? EURO ? Assures a high level of customer satisfaction.
? EURO ? Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and team organization
skills
? EURO ? Experience with TCP/IP
Preferred knowledge
? EURO ? GI-H Service definition, GI-H Principles, GI-H Standards, GI-H service
change process, GI-H Handover process. Reinforce GI-H Standards & Procedures

? EURO ? Experience with SQL server.
? EURO ? Handle day to day enquiries from customer, PM and co-workers working on
project.
? EURO ? 4+ years exposure to Enterprise servers

EDUCATION:
?? Minimal:
University degree
Microsoft Certified
Have 2-5 years experience working with Microsoft Servers and applications.
Must be able to speak and write English well.

Preferred:
Have experience working with the Shell / T-Systems GI-H process.
Have working knowledge of the T-Systems reporting, time writing and PM
processes.
