REQUIRED SKILLS: -Experience with Mainframe TSYS screens, Batch Jobs and GUI based applications. -Experience with SQL Queries, Excel macros and basic QTP automation. -Proven ability to conduct accurate needs analysis, create and execute test scripts, solve problems, and assess technical capabilities. -Minimum 2-3 years relevant IT/quality assurance work experience. -Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and specifically QA process and test methodologies. -Previous experience with test automation design and implementation. -Exposure with automated test tools such as Quality Center, Quick Test Pro and SoapUI. -Strong Project Co-ordination and Project tracking skills. -Strong time management skills and organizational skills. -Effective verbal and written communication skills. -Experience of Credit Card industry a plus. -Requires thorough technical and operational knowledge within the QA area of responsibility with hands-on experience related to implementation of test strategies and tools. -Create test plans for projects and create and execute test scripts to fulfill functional specification requirements. -Interface with different resources in the workspace including development, business and analysts teams. -Hands-on experience and understanding of automated test script development and execution. -Develops solutions to difficult problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity, communicates progress toward daily and weekly deliverables. -Key player in the testing defect management process including monitoring and reporting on defect resolution. -Identifies and recommends changes to established practices and policies. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Develops & implements procedures for maintaining and or enhancing the integrity of systems applications. -Ensures the existence of development and service standards. -Ensures that requirements are clearly defined and testable. -Responsible for the creation and execution of detailed test plans and scripts to verify software functionality and adherence to business requirements. -Execution of scripts will include progress reporting, defect tracking and risk assessments. -May be responsible for the maintenance, training, and information communications for tools used to support the product development process.
