They are participating in a data migration for a large software customer. The customer is migrating off of NetApp and other sources to HDS HNAS. Our client is need of a consultant to assist with these migrations. The consultant will not only prepare the environment to be migrated but also participate in the migration and the administration that will follow. The majority of the data to be migrated is static. The consultant will be working in a Windows based development environment with a number of team members. The consultant will be migrating to HNAS/VSP The consultant will be responsible for heavy replication using HUR and will be combining the replication HNAS environment with the VSP block infrastructure. The consultant will also provide engineering support of backup/recovery, DR, and business continuity. Other duties include heavy scripting for modifications and troubleshooting using PERL, Bash, ksh, etc. The consultant will also be responsible for clustered namespaces and mentoring/knowledge transfer. REQUIRED SKILLS: Deep HNAS migration expertise Deep understanding of CIFS and HNAS best practices Deep execution experience of DR, BC, and backups.
