Come join the team to learn and *test video, audio and data services, MPEG, DVB, TCP/IP, broadcast and mobile streaming* and related standards and specifications on Harmonics next generation video delivery products. This position will focus on end-to-end system testing of Harmonic solutions from a black box, end user perspective. You will be responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for Harmonic products, including: - *Develop and execute software test plans.* - *Write test plans, features, scripts and test tools.* - *Execute tests and identify defects, log and track them.* - Get up to speed quickly on new features, help to test the feature and areas of regression impact. - Being proactive – own the quality of Harmonic product and have strong passion for improving its quality. *This role requires learning of test frameworks and analysis tools, a proactive approach and mindset to troubleshooting product and customer issues to help resolve them, and mature problem solving skills. * *Required Job Skills* - *Significant hands-on experience testing complex multi-functionality products.* - *Some knowledge of MPEG, DVB, TCP/IP standards and protocols is a plus. * - Self-driven with strong work ethics. Able to embrace challenging assignments and develop new approaches with minimal supervision. - Excellent communication skills. - Experience with broadcast industry standards and compliance tools a plus. *Years of Direct Experience Required* - *3-4 years of formal software testing experience, manual and automated. * - *2-3 years of programming experience with Python, C or C++.* *Educational Requirements* - BS in Computer Science (or equivalent), Engineering, or related field.
