 *Job Description:*

• This position is part of the Center for Information Technology (CIT) team
working as technical support engineer on all our current contracts
supporting internal as well as external requirements.
• The candidate in this position will be responsible for handling technical
support calls and issues related to networks, servers, desktops and any IT
or telecommunications related infrastructure:

*Project-related Responsibilities:*
• Assists with the administration and maintenance of Company and Project IT
infrastructure
• Performs advanced peripheral & software installations and upgrades on
Servers and Desktops e.g. processor, RAID controllers, centralized software
installations etc.
• Evaluates tests and installs security update using automated tools &
applications.
• Provides Tier 1-3 help desk support in a 100+ Server and user environment
that consists of Windows 2012/2008/2008 R2/Windows8/Windows 10 servers and
clients in a professional and timely manner.
• Responds to help desk requests via phone and online help desk system and
follow-through on all assigned tickets to meet/exceed client expectations.
• Sets up user accounts, rights, security, systems and network groups with
appropriate system and network privileges
• Assists in the planning and implementation of systems recovery & disaster
recovery
• Setting up and maintain Windows-based high availability server clusters
and fault tolerance solutions including Network Load Balancing etc.
• Deploy and secure virtual machines in cloud environment, scale VMs,
monitor and debug VMs, deploy and manage cloud storage, Configure virtual
networks etc.
• Participates in the inventory management of software licenses, software,
hardware, and other infrastructure components
• Troubleshoot advance hardware and software problems
• Troubleshoots & resolves messaging services and errors
• Maintains production web sites
• Setup and administration of fast Ethernet and gigabit switches
• Helps develop plans for systems development and operations, hardware and
software purchases.
• Helps in the development, implementation, installation, and operation of
information and functional systems for the client.
• Follows information systems policies and controls to ensure data
accuracy, security, and legal and regulatory compliance.
• Manages Virtual Infrastructure Hosts and virtual servers based on
Microsoft Hyper-V / Vmware technologies

*Functional Responsibilities:*
• Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and
standards
• Apply expertise and possess knowledge of related disciplines
• Conduct seminars and presentations on topics of interest to the Center
for Information Technology Group

Understanding and experience of following technical concepts/tools/etc.:
• 4+ years' experience with Windows 2012/2008 Servers, Knowledge of Windows
7/8/10 OS and supporting tools and technologies
• 4+ years' experience with Microsoft business productivity products such
as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio , Microsoft Project, Microsoft Back
Office Products (Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2013, Microsoft SQL Server
2005/2008)
• 4+ years working in a diverse Hardware environment involving HP/Dell
servers, Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage & Desktops
• Very good understanding of system and network security concepts and
familiarity with security tools such as Nessus scanner, SARA, ISS System
Scanner or similar tools. Hands-on experience with system patch management
tools such as Windows WSUS and similar tools
• Knowledge of installation and support of third party applications and
tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Enterprise Anti-Virus applications Norton
Systems Solution Center, Disk diagnostics applications, etc.
• Working knowledge and experience with windows Active Directory,
Distributed File system R2, Group Policy objects etc
• Working knowledge and experience with Windows Virtualization or VMware
virtualization suite
• Extensive knowledge of tape drives libraries and peripherals & backup and
restore applications such as CA Brightstor / ArcServe, DPM etc.
• Extensive knowledge of working in troubleshooting HP printers, servers,
scanners, etc.
• Experience with creation, implementation and maintenance of Disaster
Recovery Security Plans, Sops for projects

*Required Skills:*
• BS in Information Technology or Computer Science or other related field
is required.
• Certified MCITP SA/ Enterprise Administrator in Windows 2012/2008.
• Technical professional with 4-5 years of system/network administration
experience primarily in a Windows 2012/2008/ 7 /10 environment

*Desired Skills:*
• Possession of Industry certifications
• CCNA , Azure / AWS cloud certifications
• MS in Information Technology or Computer Science or other related field.
• Hands on knowledge of Windows 2012/2008/Server/ - 64bit edition
• Setup and System administration of Microsoft Sharepoint portal Server
