Andrew, This would be a great idea if the workspaces weren't very windows specific. Given the rotor goal of cross platform research/development it is important to have a set of tools that would work well under Unix. Doing any source control without CVS is a no-op in the Unix world and would hamper the distribution of results and the possibilities for collaboration. Behind the scenes we have been working on getting a community site up and running, were the central (CVS) ROTOR repository could be hosted and where related projects could have their public collaboration homes. At the moment there are two alternatives 1) a site based on an early public source version of the sourceforge software hosted at the U. of Colorado 2) A site hosted by the academic division of CollabNet. I hope that we can have picked a solution in a week or two from now. The reason for having that discussion offline is that at the ROTOR workshop only very few appeared interested in actually organizing this and as such we decided not to clutter the public mailing lists with our ramblings. -- Werner
