Let me ride the coattails of the excitement and resend the call for volunteers to help
out the "policy management" of the rotor community site.
Subject: [DOTNET-ROTOR] Rotor Community Site & CVS Repository & Call for
Volunteers
We are very close to getting the Rotor Community Site up and running.
The site will be developed together with CollabNet and is in
functionality very similar to what sites such as sourceforge offer. For
a good example of with the site will look like visit
http://www.jini.org <http://www.jini.org> . You can use the site as your main
collaboration
tool or as a mechanism to distribute your project's results. It will
give you a way to share your results with the community and use cvs,
bugtracking, bulletin boards, etc as tools in that communication.
Even though CollabNet (http://www.collab.net <http://www.collab.net> ) will do most of
the hard
work, we will need a sort of "oversight committee" that will discuss
policies and make decisions. If you are interested in playing a role in
this policy making send me an email.
I have no dates for the launch of the site yet, but I am assuming it
will be in terms of a few weeks.
regards,
