Hi, Is it possible to have a full GC (i.e. collecting the ephemeral and gen1) as the very first garbage collection?
I do not think this is possible because all allocations occur in the ephemeral generation (no pre-tenuring mechanism in Rotor, currently). The application that I used to test is a file transfer application (one program downloads a 250-KB text file from another program). The first garbage collection for that particular program actually does mark some objects in gen1. Can anybody please help? Thank you.
