IMO it is more >productive even despite lacking some things. I think we all agree that the .NET Framework is a good thing and the direction in which it's heading is the correct one. However what most of us was suprised about was the fact that many of the poor controls (like the toolbar) where adopted by .NET V1 from previous VB versions. The Toolbar is a slightly better version of the toolbar in VB6 and I know that developers have been nagging at MS for ages to upgrade this control and make a proper wrapper for the native one, as with the coolbar (rebar) control in VB6.
