I like this link Robert.

I would heartily recommend divorcing reports from datasources. Use an
ADO.NET DataSet passed to the report - the report can be designed based
on an XML schema or xsd file although you do not need the strong typed
one to be involved at runtime. But then I may be wanting a bit too much
control myself than is good for me :-) Seriously this version of CR is
now usable I think - significant improvements made from the VB6 version.

Cheers,
Iain

Welcome to the convoluted fun world of Crystal Reports... :-<

There's a LogonServer and a Connect that both need to be done. And I
sort
of recall having to do something to the report design to make it work,
but I
don't recall the details. Go to the CrystalDecisions web site and
search
their knowledge base.

HTH,
Tore.

Subject: Crystal Reports question

How do I change db connection information in a report at runtime? For
that
matter of fact, how do I change the connection info at all? My
development
environment uses a different SQL server than the live environment.

Thanx,
