Hello all I've searched high and low for an answer and have not been able to find one yet; if my question is posted somewhere else you can just direct me to that link.
Otherwise here is the scenario: I teach computer classes (and do some vba consulting) - during the classes I want to be able to play a few sound effects; like after I ask a question and it is quiet in the room, I can play a "crickets" sound or when the students are working on something I can play the Jeopardy theme. Right now I have an MS Access DB that has a form in it; the form has a couple of buttons and they each play a different sound when I push the button; the On Click event of the button runs some code that use some api functionality. It works good and the students seem to like it. The problem I have is that I have to have the form showing in order to click the button; what I'd rather have is a program that opens up a form with buttons that play the sounds like the Access form, but the real trick would be to be able to minimize the form and those same buttons be available on the task bar like buttons are available when you minimize the windows media player to it's "mini-mode" Do you know if this is possible? If so do you know of any templates that have it that I can download and modify or is this something I'll need to build from scratch? Thanks for any help you can offer!!!
