Hi!

I would recommend to download and install the SQL express version
which has basically the same features as the full version, except that
databases can be only up to 4 Gb, it has no replication service (which
would be an advance-enterprise feature), no agent, no enterprises
features in gral and some more little things that will not bother you.
Also you can download the visual studio express 2008 and the video
course from the Microsoft page which give you a very good introduction
to them and how they work together. I went through this steps not long
ago and I've learned very quickly like this.
Also I would recommend to download and learn directly C# (C sharp
pronounced), as visual basic is a kind of adaptation to object-
oriented language and c++ is too complicated. I was advised to learn
C# and so far it's a very nice road. Also there is a lot of stuff in
internet about c#.
