hello, i am trying to screen scrape baseball player photos from ESPN.com, i am having problems obtaining the playerID for a specific player. The html for thier site looks like this
<td><a href="/mlb/players/profile?playerId=5446">Kiko Calero</a></td> my goal is to pass the team, first and last name through the QS, and then put those into a function to grab the playerID for the specific player. i am interested in just grabbing the 5446 portion of the string. the number can be between 4-6 characters. i am a little confused how to do this. i tried multiple expressions, but keep grabbing all the numbers, i just want the one per player. thank you for any help that you can give me. thanks
