Well, I may be bias here, but I'm comfortable with Winforms since
I've been writing Win32 applications for years now, long before .NET
showed up.
Those visual control "thingies" aren't new to me. Their names may
change
but some of their functionalities remain the same.

WFP looks good also, as indicated here:

It states that "It provides a consistent programming model for
building applications and provides a clear separation between the user
interface and the business logic."

Well, that may be true, but you can achieve the same effect on
Winforms if you know how to
implement a Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern.
