I have used it... specifically the v. 3.0 Community edition which is
provided with VS 2005.

Personally, I found that in order to tame it down to a free "Community
Edition", they disabled the most important features, thus rendering
the whole Obfuscation thing toothless. The lack of these features
makes the process of obfuscation a joke because the CE only does basic
renaming of types.

Some features which I felt were sorely missed were :

a) Generics support
b) String encryption
c) Integration with VS.

Additionally, they make sure to provide the full fledged UI (while
disabled) which can make it confusing for a newbie until he/she "gets
it". I've used a lot of Shareware in my time and the conventional way
is to provide a different UI for trial versions. Either way, it should
be clear that "this feature is only available in the xx version."

Due to these reasons, I haven't really "used" it... just experimented
a bit with it back in 2006.
