Processor Devil has provided you with pertinent suggestions but how do you intend to make changes without understanding how ASP.NET works ? The infrastructure of ASP.NET is very dissimilar compared to JSP (which is more like classic ASP).
ASPX pages often have associated code-behind files that contribute to the page output. I fear the issue here is greater than the lack of an IDE and I suspect that you will need to teach yourself ASP.NET before delving into the code, which is no small task by itself.
