Programmers are either good or learning to be good. It is not the language but how one uses it.
> I havent seen one PHP site that doesnt use the .Net framework when it > comes to security, manageability, and scalability. What? You are telling me that WP and Joomula are based on MONO? I have to disagree. > What you dont realize is that the ASP.Net framework is free to use and > deploy, same as PHP. ---------------- Not really. Your cost of License for a WIN web server is not cheap. Then renew that yearly with maintenance fees and your cost of doing business just went up. Put in more servers and your costs increase outside of capital expense. LAMP from the beginning was factors of 10, 100, 1000 greater then anything at that time that M$ was offering outside of the past 4 years. Paying to upgrade existing iron is the biggest headache that rolls off the desks of networking admins into developers bit buckets. Why are we still having to code around IE6? > > If you notice i have excluded MySQL from the convo, due to the fact > that the limitations of MySQL are strengthened in MSSQL and vice > versa. ----------- In the world of you get what you pay for MySQL rocks and SS is OK. SS is very costly. Now put in replication and your license costs rise for nothing more then an insurance policy. How many CPUs in that box? 4-6-8 mmm Balmer should send out "Thank You" cards. I work in a 100% M$ environment get paid for its existence. -- Stephen Russell Unified Health Services 60 Germantown Court Suite 220 Cordova, TN 38018 Telephone: 888.510.2667 901.246-0159 cell -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "DotNetDevelopment, VB.NET, C# .NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, XML, XML Web Services,.NET Remoting" group.
