I have recently updated 2 of my computers from XP to Windows 7. Prior to updating, both machines could connect from Visual Studio and Sql Server Management Studio, now my client machine running 32 bit will connect locally or remotely, my developement machine running 64 bit will only connect if I am on my own network using server name instead of domain name. I have been trying to figure this out for about 2 weeks and have not found a solution. I am new to 64 bit computing and wonder if there is a configuration point I am missing.
