Of course edit and continue is available in a 64 bit app. We do it
everyday. It is the customer files that we have organized in a folder with
each customer and we have an add-in that changes the file path to point to
either our standard version of a customization file or their specific
version. This works like a charm for everything except edit and continue.
Why would/should it matter? That file could be across the world and if I
have the right to edit it, then it is just more source to compile. It is in
my project the same as every other file in the solution and is under source
code the same as any other file in the solution. My apologies for bumping
this very old thread but this is one hell of an irritating limitation,
requiring us to stop the app to test one simple change.
