About Vietnamesebuild dated 28 Sept.SoundNewissue. The system starts with
speakers down. We change the settingsand it's ok. We save the settings but they
do not become permanent. We tested this on 3 different machines where the sound
worked withthe previous build. (The same happens with the Thai
build).PysycacheOldissue. Game quits when the mouse moves to the camera icon.
Allother Pysycache issues are solved.
Update/UpgradeIam not sure if the new update/upgrade actually works for
Vietnamese. But it seems not working in the Thai version, at least for
thestrings of Gcompris. The language packages in the 28 Sept. Thai buildare
prior to 14 September, the day we made changes in Transifex tocorrect the
problem of the Gcompris/Advanced Colors activity. TheThai ISO came with ten
GCompris strings as they were before 14 Sept. When werun update/upgrade we get
the ten updated strings, but when we rebootthey are lost.OnWed. 7 I will also
check this translation update issue with theVietnamese team and will let you
know.
OnOctober 12 a Children Center, hosting about 120 children, located inthe town
of Long Hai, south of HCM City, will start using DDLVietnamese. I will be there
to help the tutors run DDL sessions. If you can fix the Sound and Pysycache
issues before that… the children will be very happy.

Translation updates are now supposed to be persistent whatever the persistence
mode. They will be copied into a subdirectory of the hidden directory
"/home/.live/". If this doesn't work, please complain!

Cheers,
JM.
