Well, my first guess would be you haven't enabled plain text passwords on unencrypted links.
By default, Dovecot doesn't allow plain text passwords without SSL. Either change the config, or try the "s_client" command from "openssl". -- Curtis Maloney [EMAIL PROTECTED]
