Question: why does that path need to be there?
Maybe it is not the question of "need", I sometimes write default settings
in conf files, too, just in case the default changes over time or I have
the reminder that I explicitly want to use the default setting.
The error message "/home/%u/.dovecot.sieve" would indicate, that "%u" is
not expanded, is it?
