I'm trying to figure out the exact line to put to /etc/postfix/main.cf for local lmtp deliver we use: mailbox_transport = *lmtp:unix:private/dovecot-lmtp*
for remote it is supposed to be:* lmtp:host:port* yet at the remote lmtp does not use ports. UNIX domain sockets are used instead: netstat --listening --programs| grep lmtp unix 2 [ ACC ] STREAM LISTENING 8457 3696/dovecot /var/run/dovecot/lmtp unix 2 [ ACC ] STREAM LISTENING 7998 3834/master private/lmtp unix 2 [ ACC ] STREAM LISTENING 7630 3696/dovecot /var/spool/postfix/private/dovecot-lmtp Is there a different setting for lmtp using 'domain sockets' ?
