Or you can just flip the switches for “use SSL” in the SMTP setting, and the 
“use SSL” switch under advanced.  For both SMTP and IMAP, you can also set the 
port.  The only caveat I have is you might have to do it after you set up the 
account.  I set mine up back in something like 2008, so I dunno.  I just keep 
upgrading the os and phone.

At least in iOS 17.7.
