well, ^L (Control-L) is the symbol for a form feed character, which is the only sequence that aptconvert recognizes as a page break (not "^L" as a string, nor "\f"), so I think the docs are correct.

I'd prefer to leave the page at http://maven.apache.org/guides/mini/guide-apt-format.html, just remove everything after "Document structure" and add a link instead to the doxia site, after the short introductory paragraph that explains what apt is.
