It took some beating, but I think I agree. My concern with putting them
in the searches dir was that the installation would be able to overwrite
them, but that's probably for the best anyway. If a search is
distributed with the installer, it should replace anything downloaded
off of the web.

I think I'll make a /local switch for httpinst, so the user can manually
choose to make it a local search.
