Short-and-sweet:
It's a simple html form that uses (mostly) javascript to parse the
input data and pass it off to a function bound to keywords passed into
it. Sending the right prefixes and options you can feasibly search one
of over three-hundred search engines or data repositories on the
internet, or check your email, open applications, run
javascript/vbscript code inline... well, the possibilities really are
next to endless. It's a cross between a command-prompt that you always
have access to and an intelligent web-UI that can search literally
hundreds of different search engines.

When in doubt, try "?"
