if a non-member post comes into the list, it goes onto a holding queue and an email is sent stating the message awaits administrator approval.... This can become a hassle since virtually all of the non-member posts are spam, and too many were coming in.... On the users and devel lists, I put a script on the dqsd.net site that purges the queue twice a day.. We had to start enforcing the rule that non-members cannot post to the lists..
If you can get to the dqsd.net box, you can put the dqsd-cvs list on the purge list.. I havent tried to reach it in some time. I am not sure if I have a valid login on the machine either.. I originally had a ssh key in place so I didnt have to login..
