Category: Search Group: None >Status: Closed >Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Cannot search words with accents, tilde, cedilla, etc. Initial Comment: When typing words in another language and the words contain letters with accents such as , , , , ... they are converted to question marks. Ex.: type sopo, the search goes for sop?o This makes impossible to search words in other languages. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kim Grsman (kimgrasman) Date: 2004-08-14 08:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=551308 This should be fixed in the next release of DQSD, I stumbled upon the bug myself. The problem is Google changed their default character encoding, so the data we're sending to Google is in an incompatible format. If you can get at the CVS (it's currently down), the affected files are: - defer_tools.js (adds UTF-8 encoding routine) - gg.xml (updated Google search) So if you can drop these in their current respective locations, you should be all set. Alternatively, just wait for the next release (no date yet), and you will get the new files with the distribution. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=432066&aid=1009088&group_id=42081 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
