Hi all, Sorry it's been so quiet from me the last week. I've been busy preparing a new year's party, and avoiding the Win98 problems :-/
Now that I've had some time to think about it - isn't it better to back out my changes and just do what we did previously? We can build a better installer for the next major release. I think I'll add a little blurb about having to be admin to the message box shown at installation start, but otherwise let it fail silently. Then we can release a 3.1.9.1 that people can use until we've come up with the new host and everything. Anyone against? Shawn, do you have time to test this on Win98 in the near future?
