Summary: Incorrect rendering when height > 1 row

Initial Comment:
If I lay out my toolbar so that dqsd takes up multiple
lines, the rendering is all wrong. The magnifying glass
icon, the entry field, and the button are on the top row,
with a funny gray bar taking up the row below that. See
attached image.

I have the same problem. I tried single line or word wrap.
I tried making my own to match my theme and it has the same
problem.

Shawn - I was away for a while. Just tried this. I am using
XP home (just going to switch to XP pro) and this ficed the
problem. Thanks. The rounded edge of the top of the status
bar is squared off for the search bar part of the status bar
but aside from this it works fine.

Cheers, Tom.

Can you both test the following changes to the blue scheme
and let me know how they work for you? Download the
new_blue.zip file from this thread, BACKUP your
theme_blue.css file and extract the zip into the same folder.
You'll need to use >> Configure > Load Color Scheme > Blue
to test it. It's not perfect, but it goes a lot closer to working
for multiline people. I don't have WinXP installed to try it out
on, so I'm relying on your feedback before committing these
changes.

Thanks,

Shawn

Yup, selecting that color scheme whipped that toolbar right
back into shape.

Indeed verified - the interim solution is to switch to 'classic
color scheme' (which really is - no color scheme)

I have such files, but neither use nor have ever touched
them as far as I can recall. I'm attaching them FYI.

Can you share any stylesheets you're using, too? Are you
using a localsearch.css or theme_*.css file? Have you made
any changes to these or search.css?

Shawn, I made the suggested modification, and then
restarted the toolbar (first by "!"), then when that didn't
help, by removing the toolbar and re-adding it. The behavior
has not changed. I have attached my localprefs.js just to be
sure I made the change correctly.

Hi Chris,

Do you have the multiline variable set in your localprefs.js file?
Should be:
  multiline=true;
If this variable is not set then the toolbar assumes you only
want to have one line of text.

Please change this variable and post another screenshot or
an 'it worked' - thanks!

-Shawn
