Summary: IE Script Error when using Firefox
Initial Comment:
Greetings -
I use Firefox as my default browser. Whenever I first use DQSD - without a
browser window already open - I get an Internet Explorer Script Error message.
The Default Launch mode is set to 1 in the System Preferences file ("use
default browser") and FF is set as my default browser. It's more of an
annoyance than a major problem, but annoyances seem to grow in perceived
severity as time goes on. ;^)
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey all, I've been using FF as my default browser with DQSD and I've
managed to add some try/catch wrappers in the jscript to at least prevent
being assaulted by the script error dialog. The downside is that
occasionally I'll have to hit enter a second time to invoke the search. I
tend to believe that the problem is with DQSD's communication with FF via
DDE (as someone posted on the list earlier), and sometimes the message just
doesn't get to FF, especially when an instance needs to be started. I'll
try to pinpoint what I've done when I get the chance. It's not a solution,
but it mitigates the annoyance factor.

Hi Kim, and thanks for replying -
I don't have the Google Toolbar installed, but I do have other add-ons.
They are as follows:
AdBlock Plus 0.7.5.3
AIRoboform Toolbar for Firefox 6.9.8
DOM Inspector 1.8.1.9
Download Statusbar 0.9.5.1
Hide The IP 1.0
HideMyIP 1.0
IE Tab 1.3.3.20070528
Pronto 0.9.8
StumbleUpon 3.12
Talkback 2.0.0.9
I'm gonna make a wild guess that you'd like me to uninstall them all and
see if that makes a difference. ;^)

Hello,
We've had some reports that the Google Toolbar (and possibly other
add-ins) for Firefox causes some problem that in turn raises an error in
the DQSD launch procedure. Do you have any add-ins installed?

year.
