Hi Kim,

I don't see any difference between the functional values
(DQSDTools.Launcher and so forth) and other classes in the HKCR tree.
They work and function the same, so I don't see any reason for them to
be flagged via any legitimate registry cleaner.

That the software is hosing the icon for Acrobat, and removing a file
association that it is unaware of any legitimacy of (dvr) both suggest
to me that it's the software (Iobit) that's causing the problem for
Bill.

Iobit is also promoting Spyware Defender, which I've seen screw up more
than a dozen of my local clients' computers (the local ISP installed it
as a "feature" and it broke their LSP stack - oops). While the HELPDIR
path may be a legitimate issue (even though we don't actually use it) in
DQSD - removing that alone wouldn't cause any problems (we don't use
it!). The other issues it finds with DQSD are bogus, so I wouldn't put
any stock in the Iobit "registry cleaner".
