I have re-installed the v3.0 over itself (still following the close/reboot procedure), and it did not change anything to the error I got and hence the missing keyboard features. But since I have started my computer yesterday (i.e. after a complete shutdown), the DQSD's hotkey and arrow keys features work perfectly well, and the menu now pops up where it is supposed to be.
