People who will initially read this don't really need to read it. I'm posting for the benefit of anyone who may do web search on the issue of the removal of the Address toolbar in Windows XP SP3.
One solution for people distressed at the loss of the Address Bar is to install DQSD. I had used DQSD some time ago, but abandoned it due to problems I don't completely recall when XP SP2 came out. Upon discovering the loss of the Address Bar in SP3, I came back to look at DQSD again. Version 4.0 Release Candidate 3 seems, for me, at least, to be a good solution to the loss of the Windows Address Bar.
