Hi Bob & Kim, Yes, I do have a mod that will fix the styling to make it look like it is better integrated within the taskbar, but it requires a change to the search.htm file. The last time I made changes to the search.htm file several people on the dev team got nervous, so I haven't pushed the changes back through yet.
I don't personally use the colored styling within XP so I can't say whether this will resolve everyones issues, but if it doesn't then I'm sure it comes very very close. I did just test it within the 'blue' scheme and it looks 100% integrated to me (top & bottom, colors, DQSD box, and clock). And unlike the current styles, it also better handles the margin & padding when using mutliline DQSD input and/or multiple taskbar rows, but that, of course, requires changes to the stylesheets for each layout - and those will need to be tested across different systems to ensure that they're working fine. However, it required changes to a couple things that are bigger than just the scheme. It required a change to the resizing code that may affect any custom personal styles anyone has incorporated, and since a new layout object had to be created to wrap the rest of the DQSD code, it's possible (though unlikely) that some of the code within searches that affect the user interface could be affected. The 'gobutton' functionality is not hampered at all, though, so this is probably just me being overcautious. Would you like me to post the changes here? On a related note, someone (Kim?) said something about auto-detecting the users' current Windows color scheme during installation, and setting the default style to that. Any progress?
