Hi Bob, > It's not SP3 and it's not true that the DQSD can't be moved at all.
What Kim is saying is that DQSD cannot be separated from the windows deskbar. It must reside within your deskbar (the same region as the start menu and system tray) or there may be issues, especially after you reboot. While it can usually function fine if you drag the toolbar from the deskbar to another edge of the screen, separate from the start menu, and use it there. It will need to be placed back in the deskbar before you reboot or it may not work correctly on the next boot. > Could this possibly be related to trying to fix the issue > of DQSD in color schemes other than classic shrinking to > half width when positioned below another toolbar? The code I wrote to better handle multi-line taskbars has not been added to the DQSD package yet. Kim released before I was able to make the time to ensure that it was all clean and working to commit my changes. :( However, I had once personally been very interested in having the DQSD bar as one row on the deskbar, and while I have no resolution for it, I was able to accomplish what I really wanted (multiline clock & multiline DQSD entry and the inclusion of the quick-launch toolbar on the deskbar) by changing the "clock short form" to be: clockshortform = " EEEE \r\n MMM dd, yyyy \r\n hh:mm A "; This inserts carriage returns into the time/date at the "\r\n" - so you could use them somewhere else if you prefer. I've got a bit of catch-up to to do today, but will try to commit the multiline changes tonight or tomorrow. Regards, Shawn K.
